Crew Change at Capels
The old coaling tower at Capels, WV, on Norfolk Southern's Pocahontas
Division was to hard to knock down so N&W simply left it standing. This
is a crew change location as well as a helper base for heavy trains heading
eastbound up the Elkhorn Grade which stars just east of Welch, a few miles ahead.
